DESIGN
Leighton Design Works is a design studio that creates three dimensional models for a "CNC"- computer controlled
machine to make patterns used in mold making.
Bronze, brass and aluminum pieces are created using lost foam, sand and investment casting techniques. Machining and
finishing capabilities include milling, metal turning, bead blasting and polishing.
Wood working, wood turning, CNC and hand carving are also used to achieve the results wanted.
Experienced with composite fabrication using carbon fiber, Kevlar and fiber glass, I like to work
with varied materials to give a broad range of capabilities in my designs.
